Elaine Hutchinson

A Chartered Physiotherapist with over 30 years of experience having worked in a variety of NHS Hospitals and Health Centres across Glasgow. Elaine graduated from Queen's College, Glasgow in July 1984 with a Diploma in Physiotherapy and is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), the Health and Care Professions Council, the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (AACP) and also registered with PhysioFirst, the organisation for Chartered Physiotherapists in private practice. During July & August 2014,Elaine was chosen to be a Clydesider Physiotherapist at the Commonwealth Games and was based at the Athletes village where she treated many different injuries for Athletes from all over the world.

Prabhjot Baryah (Joti)

Joti is a Chartered Physiotherapist with over 10 years experience in musculoskeletal and neuromuscular physiotherapy. She qualified in 2005 in India with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and then attained an MSC in Sports Physiotherapy in 2007. Joti also qualified as an Acupuncturist in 2011 and has received training in Mulligan Manual Therapy. Joti has worked in Private practice for 6 years.



Gemma Greig - Sports Therapist

Gemma is a HND qualified Sports Therapist with experience of providing sports massage and voluntary first aid to both male and female amateur football teams. She is also a 3rd year Student Physiotherapist at Glasgow Caledonian University.


Veronica runs VMK Complementary Therapies from room 3 in the clinic. She has a BA(hons) degree in Complementary Healthcare from Edinburgh Napier University. She is qualified in Remedial & Sports massage, Reflexology, Clinical Aromatherapy, Swedish Body massage, Stones Therapy and Seated Acupressure massage. The aim of VMK Complementary Therapies is to provide specialised treatments tailored to individuals needs to help improve their well being physically or mentally.



Emma Collins

Emma graduated from Glasgow Caledonian in 2004 and started work in MSK in an acute hospital. She very quickly found her passion in Occupational Health & Safety and has more than 10yrs experience in the NHS working around all the Greater Glasgow & Clyde hospitals. She has a number of Health & Safety Qualifications, completed her acupuncture course and gained her Masters in Employment Rehabilitation in 2014. She is now a Service Lead at the Golden Jubilee and is delighted to be part of the team at BBPSIC to keep up working directly to support patients.

Roisin Friel

I qualified in 2006 after completing degree in Physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University. I had previously completed a degree in Physiology and Sports Science at Glasgow University.

I have over 10 years experience in physiotherapy and enjoyed working with a variety of patient groups in an out patient setting. I am always looking to better my clinical knowledge and have undertaken regular training including acupuncture, pilates, trigger point release and taping.



Karen Aston

I gained my first degree at Surrey University in Sports Science and then studied Physiotherapy at Masters level qualifying in 1999 at Caledonian University.

I have worked in the NHS plus in Private Hospitals and have also been involved with many sporting teams at amateur and professional levels including St Mirren Football Club.

Some of the professional development courses I have attended included kinesiology taping, muscle energy techniques, deep tissue massage, myofascial release, acupuncture, dry needling and APPI taring for Pilates.
